The Science Museum, founded in 1883, also has no entrance fee, like most other museums in the capital. There are charges for the IMAX 3D cinema, simulators and some special exhibitions however. It homes over 300,000 items including the world famous Stephenson’s Rocket. There are also hundreds of interactive exhibits to keep you amused!

The Café/Bar - Dana Centre was added as an annex to the museum in 2003 if you want to take a break from all of that science, or you could take a further wander into one of the galleries, some of which are temporary and some of which are fixed and they include: The East Hall, Space, Making the Modern World and Flight.
